CONDUCTANCE OF B-NICOTINAMIDE ADENINE COENZYMES IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION: APPLICATION ON THE EVALUATION OF DESORPTION OF COENZYMES IMMOBILIZED ON RESINS

The use of conductimetry for determining the concentration of coenzymes (NAD, NADH, NADP and NADPH) in an aqueous solution is poorly described in the literature. Standardized equivalent conductivity (?m; S.cm2/mol) and specific conductance (?; S.cm-1) determinations were made, regarding to coenzyme solutions, whose concentration ranged from 0.5x10-3M to 5x10-3M. Taking into account the values of ? and ?m for each coenzyme it was observed the decreasing sequence: NADPH>NADH>NADP>NAD. However, the high equivalent conductivity per negative charge (60.5 S.cm2/mol.ch-) occurred for NADH. The high reliability of conductance measurement enables coupling a conductimetry cell to the outlet reactor pipeline for controlling the leakage of the coenzyme from it.
